Walk Route:
- Head out the main entrance of the hotel, cross Olive Way, then immediately turn left and go northwest on the 8th Ave sidewalk.
- Continue on 8th Ave until you reach Denny Way.
- At Denny Way, turn right and head east on the sidewalk.
- Walk along Denny Way until you reach Broad Street.
- At Broad Street, turn left and proceed north towards the Seattle Center.
- As you approach the Seattle Center, the Space Needle will come into view.
- Follow the paths around the Seattle Center to complete your approach to the Space Needle.
Route Details:
As you stride out, the path takes you towards the bustling Pike Place Market, a hub of artisans and the epitome of Pacific Northwest flavors. Feel the energy of the market as you pass by, its vibrant life fueling your steps. Continuing on, you'll reach Waterfront Park by the first mile, with Elliott Bay's sparkling waters offering a scenic backdrop.
With the bay breeze alongside, the route veers through the serene Myrtle Edwards Park, a lush contrast to the urban environment. Each stride brings you nearer to the majestic Space Needle, standing as a sentinel over your path through Seattle Center.
This isn't just a run or a walk; it's a discovery of Seattle’s dynamic spirit. Navigate through the heart of the city, where each turn unveils a living postcard, a narrative bursting into life. Your loop back to the Hyatt encapsulates a journey completed, with expansive views of both cityscape and waterfront that have accompanied your every step.
1. Leave the hotel's main entrance and make a right turn, heading south along 8th Avenue.
2. Turn right at Pine Street, moving west toward 1st Avenue.
3. Take a left onto 1st Avenue, going south.
4. Turn right at University Street, then descend the stairs to the waterfront.
5. At the waterfront, turn right and continue along the waterfront sidewalk.
6. Reach the fountain near the Mile 2 marker, which is the turnaround point marked by the red star.
To complete the 5K, you would then reverse these steps:
7. Turn around at the fountain and follow the waterfront sidewalk back the way you came.
8. Ascend the stairs at University Street, then turn left onto 1st Avenue.
9. Turn right onto Pine Street, heading east.
10. Turn left onto 8th Avenue and proceed north back to the hotel.
